RAF LEUCHARS

Some of the Photographs below give you a general outline of what our Easter camp was like. To find out more visit us at the Squadron.

Camp Photograph - Who's missing?

As you can see from the smiling faces of the cadets it was a good camp.

Squadrons attending  Easter camp were 124 (Ewyas Harold) DF, 156 (Kidderminster) Sqn, 347 (Dudley) Sqn, 1017 (Malvern) Sqn, 1119 (Shrewsbury) Sqn, 1130 (Wrekin) Sqn and of course us 2379 (Telford South) Sqn.

Edinburgh - Clueless in the castle

During the camp the cadets had a day trip the Edinburgh. In the shadow of the castle Cpl R Holding appears to be giving directions to the other cadets.

Common Room - Could someone open a window?

This common room is deep within the depths of the bunker. This was the cadets home for the week with seperate male and female accomodation in the bunker.

Bulling - Is this straight enough?

Part of the joys of camp is making sure your kit is clean, pressed and ready to go.

Flying - One size fits all !!

Seen here is Cdt Robinson prepairing for his half hour flight in a Grob Tutor. Where he took control of the aircraft and did some aerobatics.

Shooting - I told them these trousers were too small !

Cdt Skully is trying to get his ATC Marksmanship badge by shooting the .22 No 8 Rifle.

SHARPE Shooter - A member of the SAS?

Seen here is Cdt Wright holding the exact rifle that 'Richard Sharpe' played by Sean Bean used in the series 'Sharpe'.

The rifle belongs to a member of the SAS "Sharpe's Appreciation Society"

Greens - Spot the bush

Part of the fun of camp is getting dirty. Seen here are cadets taking part in a fieldcraft lesson by the RAF Regiment.

Drill Competition - New style traffic cones.

Cadets waiting to be called forward onto the parade square for the drill competition.

Accomadation - Bunking in a Bunker

Unusual accomadation sleeping in the bunker as normally it would be either in a tent or above ground block accomodation.
